Our Design process includes:

Initial consultation which gives us opportunity to obtain a better understanding of your requirements and vision for the project.

Site visit, during which we photograph and measure the space & discuss the future design, budget and timeline. Site visit can be done virtually through a video call if the property is located away from Melbourne, Victoria.

Concept creation - the process of providing mood boards, sketches & 3D visualisation with our client's feedback in mind.

Design work. Once the concept is approved, we specify finishes, fixtures and fittings, and finalise the selection of furniture.

CONCEPTUAL PLANNING

Design Mile takes a complete and comprehensive overview of each project, including new-builds and renovations. We make sure that our conceptual house and hospitality spaces plans correspond to Australian NCC, local standards & codes. Our team consider the best possible ways to enhance every aspect of the available space, implementing strategic thinking and structured framework functionality. Our skill is in ensuring that we maximise the true potential for every project by creating practical spaces.

ARCHITECTURAL VISUALISATION & ANIMATION

We provide Architectural Visualisation & Animation services for our clients, creating lifelike images and walk-through videos which bring to life the proposed design.

3D Visualisation is really helpful at the conceptual design stage. It gives the clients an opportunity to make a virtual journey to their future living space and tune the design to be absolutely happy with the final result.

DOCUMENTATION

Working Documentation is the final stage of the Interior Design Process.  After Design Concept is finalised, we can go further and create detailed design-intent drawings covering everything from interior architecture to bespoke joinery. Our Interior Design Working Documentation Package includes: existing conditions & demolition floor plans, dimensioned floor plans, interior elevations and sections with tags of finishes and materials, reflected ceiling plans, finishes, appliances & furniture schedules with clickable links to the products, detailed sections, customer joinery.
